7.1.3) The driver and co-driver(s) must be able to trigger the
extinguisher system manually when seated normally with safety
belts fastened and steering wheel in place.
The means of triggering must be marked with a letter "E" in red
inside a white circle of at least 10 cm diameter with a red edge.

7.2

7.2

Extintores manuales

7.2.1) Todos los vehículos deben estar equipados con uno o dos
extintores; la capacidad mínima de estos es la especificada en
los Artículos 7.2.3 y 7.2.4.
Todos los camiones deben estar equipados con dos extintores
cuya capacidad mínima debe ser la especificada en los
Artículos 7.2.3 y 7.2.4.
7.2.2) Agentes extintores permitidos: AFFF, FX G-TEC, Viro 3, polvo o
cualquier otro agente extintor homologado por la FIA.
7.2.3) Cantidad mínima de agente extintor:
AFFF:
2,4 litros
FX G-TEC:
2,0 kg
Viro 3:
2,0 kg
Zero 360:
2,0 kg
Polvo:

7.2.4) Todos los extintores deben estar presurizados como se indica a
continuación en función de su contenido:
AFFF: de acuerdo con las instrucciones del fabricante o a
12bar.
FX G-TEC
y Viro3: de acuerdo con las instrucciones del fabricante.
Zero 360: de acuerdo con las instrucciones del fabricante.
Polvo:
8 bar mínimo y 13,5 bar máximo.
Además, en el caso de los AFFF, los extintores deberán estar
equipados con un sistema que permita la verificación de la presión
del contenido.
7.2.5) La información siguiente deberá figurar visiblemente en cada
extintor:
- capacidad;
- tipo de agente extintor;
- peso o volumen del agente extintor;
- fecha en la que debe revisarse el extintor, que no debe ser
más de dos años después de la fecha de llenado o última
revisión, o bien la fecha de validez correspondiente.
7.2.6) Todos los extintores deben estar protegidos adecuadamente.
Sus fijaciones deben ser capaces de resistir una desaceleración
de 25 g. Además, solo se aceptarán las fijaciones metálicas de
desprendimiento rápido con abrazaderas metálicas.
Se recomienda encarecidamente utilizar canalizaciones
resistentes al fuego: se desaconsejan las canalizaciones
de plástico y las canalizaciones de metal se recomiendan
encarecidamente.
7.2.7) Al menos uno de los extintores debe ser fácilmente accesible
para el piloto y copiloto(s) cuando estén sentados normalmente
con sus cinturones abrochados y el volante en su sitio.

Groups T1, T3 and T2: Two means of triggering from the outside

Manual extinguishers

7.2.1) All cars must be fitted with one or two fire extinguishers the
minimum total capacity of which is specified in Articles 7.2.3 and
7.2.4.
All trucks must be fitted with two fire extinguishers the minimum
capacity of each is specified in Articles 7.2.3 and 7.2.4.
7.2.2) Permitted extinguishants: AFFF, FX G-TEC, Viro3, powder or any
other extinguishant homologated by the FIA.
7.2.3) Minimum quantity of extinguishant:
AFFF:

FX G-TEC:

Viro 3:

7.2.4) All extinguishers must be pressurised according to the contents:
AFFF: in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions or 12 bar
FX G-TEC
and Viro3: in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
Zero 360: in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
Powder: 8 bar mínimo y 13,5 bar máximo.
Furthermore, in the case of AFFF, each extinguisher must be
equipped with a means of checking the pressure of the contents.
7.2.5) The following information must be visible on each extinguisher:

more than two years after either the date of filling or the date of
the last check, or corresponding expiry date.

7.2.6) All extinguishers must be adequately protected. Their mountings
must be able to withstand a deceleration of 25 g. Furthermore,
only quick-release metal fastenings, with metal straps, will be
accepted.
The use of fireproof lines is strongly recommended : plastic
lines are not recommended and metallic lines are strongly
recommended.
7.2.7) At least one of the extinguishers must be easily accessible for
the driver and the co-driver(s), seated normally with safety belts
fastened and steering wheel in place.

7.2.8) Para camiones, en lugar de uno de los dos extintores, se permite
instalar un sistema de extinción incluido en la Lista Técnica n.º
16.

7.2.8) For trucks, in place of one of the two extinguishers, it is permitted
to fit an extinguisher system featuring in the Technical List n°16.

ARTÍCULO 8 - ESTRUCTURAS ANTIVUELCO
(Únicamente para T1, T3 y T2; ver Artículo 287.3 para T4).

homologación debe entenderse como la primera fecha de concesión del
Pasaporte Técnico de la FIA.
