The eighty-five percent of the works has come to enrich
private collections at national, international, and institutional
levels. Among these achievements, this activity, in addition
to the promotion of every artist, has yielded sponsorship
funds for bronze casting of the first sculptures created by
emerging young artists and for introducing of others who
seek to realize their artistic career.
Arte en Mayo has particularly supported the creations of
incipient young artists and collective groups. Many of them
have come to be part of the most consolidated artists of
Central America and Panama and their work has reached an
unprecedented value. Likewise, Fundación Rozas-Botrán has
been a pioneer in including the work of artists with different
capacities, a work that has a place on the aforementioned
catalogues and has been publicly awarded. This initiative has
changed the life of many and was the point of departure for the
programme ‘Arte sin Límites’, which has been incorporated
to COELI.
2003 - 2015 Campus Médico San José
With the generous participation of Central American and
Panamanian artists, Campus Médico San José has become
a large art gallery that propitiates the wellbeing of people
who develop their daily activities there. The Campus offers
architectural spaces with meaning, harmonized with paintings
and sculptures. Paraphrasing a quote from German philosopher
Friederick Nietzsche, we may say that at Campus Médico, art
is the great redemption from the suffering that turns light the
life loaded with pain and allows us to understand it.
2007 - 2015 Arte en las Calles
This activity was well received by city inhabitants and, therefore, it
was institutionalized as an annual event. Every January, billboards
and Mupis - other advertising means - exhibit a collection
of artwork, turning the city into an outdoor gallery. From the
different proposals it exhibits, Arte en la Calles lead passersby
to reflection and to participate in cultural life.

2010 - 2015 INVEGEM
The Instituto de Investigación Científica y Humana -INVEGEMand laboratories is aimed to provide services for the most
vulnerable population to achieve a healthier and more productive
country and region, and therefore, happier. Claudia Carranza,
PhD, is the General Manager of the three high-tech laboratories
whose level of research has been rated 5/5 -the only ones of
the region. This institution is managed and run by Luis Ricardo
Alvarez, PhD. The INVEGEM has led to the first generation of
Guatemalan scientists, and in order to replicate knowledge
it has pioneered the first formal course on molecular biology
with laboratories for practicing learning. Currently, the first
Masteries on molecular biology and human genetics are being
formalized; its laboratories have started to provide services for
the neighbouring countries.
INVEGEM was inaugurated in year 2010 at Campus Médico San
José. This building, equipped with cutting-edge technology,
embraces the two passions of Fundación Rozas-Botrán, being
these the promotion of health, through research, and art, which
is expressed in its contemporary architecture, and visual arts
represented by an extraordinary collection of paintings and
sculptures.
2012 - 2015 Galería Viva
This novel concept is developed in collaboration with Paseo
Cayalá to promote different types of art and design and to
attract new audiences to the world of art. The idea is for art to
be inclusive. The gallery will remain “alive” and dynamic during
every exhibition by using its venue as a studio for artists and a
workshop for audiences. The first exhibition called “Grafiti y Arte
Urbano” exhibited the works and murals by seven Guatemalan
artists who have excelled in this art that is popular and controversial
worldwide. One of the most important products is the collective
mural of 9 x 6mts. -the biggest of the Isthmus- made over
removable panels that afterwards became a part of the art
collection of Fundación Rozas-Botrán.
2012 - 2015 Centro de Rescate, Estudio
y Análisis Científico para el Arte - CREA
