ARTÍCULO 285
REGLAMENTO ESPECÍFICO PARA VEHÍCULOS TODO-TERRENO MODIFICADOS (GRUPO T1) /
SPECIFIC REGULATIONS FOR MODIFIED CROSS COUNTRY CARS (GROUP T1)
Vehículos terrestres propulsados mecánicamente por un solo motor,
con 4 a 8 ruedas (si el vehículo tiene más de 4 ruedas, se requiere la
aprobación de la FIA), movidos por sus propios medios, en contacto
continuo con el suelo, y en los que la propulsión y la dirección son
controladas por un conductor a bordo del vehículo.
Estos vehículos pueden ser construidos a la unidad, pero deben estar
matriculados en un país y cumplir lo que establece la Convención
Internacional sobre Tráfico respecto de la iluminación.
En los artículos siguientes, los vehículos con cuatro ruedas motrices se
denominan 4x4 y los vehículos con dos ruedas motrices se denominan
4x2.
Los vehículos 4x4 deben tener, como mínimo, dos plazas.
Marca automóvil:
Una «marca automóvil» corresponde al vehículo completo.
Si el constructor instala un motor del que no es fabricante, el vehículo
es considerado un «híbrido» y el nombre del fabricante del motor puede
asociarse al del constructor del vehículo.
Si un vehículo híbrido ganase un título de Campeonato, Copa o Trofeo,
este será otorgado al constructor del vehículo.

Mechanically propelled single-engined land vehicles with 4 to 8 wheels (if
the vehicle has more than 4 wheels, it requires FIA approval), propelled
by their own means, and of which the propelling device and steering are
controlled by a driver on board the vehicle.
These cars may be unit-built, but must be registered in one country
and must comply with the International Convention on Road Traffic with
regard to lighting.

ARTÍCULO 1 - OBLIGACIONES
Los vehículos del Grupo T1 deben cumplir con las Prescripciones
Generales y con el equipamiento de seguridad definidos en los Artículos
282 y 283 respectivamente.
Cualquier depósito que contenga aceite o combustible debe estar situado
en la estructura principal del vehículo.
Solo se permiten los depósitos de combustible conformes a las Normas
FT3 1999, FT3.5 o FT5.
Debe estar ubicado detrás de la parte trasera del tubo del arco principal.
Ninguna parte del depósito debe encontrarse a menos de 80  mm por
encima de la superficie de referencia.
En los vehículos 4x2, se permiten varios depósitos de combustible, que
pueden prolongarse hacia adelante bajo los puntos de fijación de los
asientos al chasis, pero no pueden encontrarse a menos de 1100 mm por
detrás de la línea central del eje delantero.
La cantidad de puntos de succión está limitada a 2 y la presión de las
bombas reforzadoras no debe ser superior a 1 bar.
La cantidad de tomas para el combustible está limitada a dos.
Fuera de este depósito, la capacidad máxima de combustible permitida
es de 6 litros.

ARTICLE 1 - OBLIGATIONS
Group T1 cars must comply with the General Prescriptions and with the
safety equipment defined in Articles 282 and 283 respectively.

ARTÍCULO 2 - CHASIS Y ESTRUCTURA DE SEGURIDAD
Solo se autorizan chasis tubulares de material ferroso.
El espesor de los tubos que forman la estructura del chasis no debe ser
inferior a 1,5 mm.
Todos los tubos que conforman la estructura de seguridad, tal como se
encuentra definida en el Artículo 283-8.3.1 (Dibujos 253-1, 253-2, 2533), deben tener las dimensiones mínimas siguientes: 50 x 2 mm (2,0" x
0,083") o 45 x 2,5 mm (1,75" x 0,095").
La parte trasera del tubo del arco principal a nivel de su pie de anclaje no
debe encontrarse a más de 950 mm del centro de la rueda trasera (ver
el Dibujo 285-1).
Para proteger el rostro del piloto, el vehículo debe contar con un área
acolchada con materiales de 60-240 g/m2 y un espesor mínimo de 40 mm
sobre el volante de dirección y en una superficie mínima de 20 000 mm2
(200 cm2).
El vehículo debe tener una estructura inmediatamente detrás del asiento
del conductor, que sea más ancha y se extienda sobre sus hombros
cuando este se encuentre sentado normalmente con sus cinturones
abrochados.

ARTICLE 2 - CHASSIS AND SAFETY CAGE
Only tubular frame chassis in ferrous materials are authorised.
The thickness of the tubes forming the structural part of the chassis must
not be less than 1.5 mm.
All tubes of the safety cage defined in Article 283-8.3.1 (Drawings 253-1,
253-2, 253-3) must have a minimum section of 50x2 mm (2.0’’x0.083’’) or
45x2.5 mm (1.75’’x0.095’’).

ARTÍCULO 3 - CARROCERÍA

3.1 Exterior
The chassis must either:
- derive from a chassis (or monocoque body) of a car produced
in a quantity greater than 1000 per year (FIA approval required)

bodywork may be modified only in accordance with Articles
3.2.2, 3.2.4 and 5.1.2.
- or be a steel tubular frame chassis.

3.1 Exterior
El chasis debe cumplir alguna de las siguientes condiciones:
- Provenir del chasis (o del monocasco) de un vehículo con una
producción superior a 1000 unidades por año (es necesaria la
aprobación de la FIA).
En este caso, el chasis (o el monocasco) y la carrocería solo
podrán modificarse de conformidad con los Artículos 3.2.2,
3.2.4 y 5.1.2.
- O bien estar fabricado con tubos de acero.
El parabrisas es opcional.

The 4-wheel drive vehicles are designated 4x4 and the 2-wheel drive
vehicles are designated 4x2 in the articles below.
4x4 must have a minimum of 2 seats.
Automobile make:
An "automobile make" corresponds to a complete car.
When the car manufacturer fits an engine that it does not manufacture,
the car is considered as a hybrid and the name of the engine manufacturer
may be associated with that of the car manufacturer.
Should a hybrid car win a Championship Title, Cup or Trophy, this will be
awarded to the manufacturer of the car.

Any tank containing oil or fuel must be situated within the main structure
of the vehicle.
Only fuel tanks conforming to the FT3 1999, FT3.5 or FT5 standards are
permitted.
It must be situated to the rear of the back of the main rollbar tube.
No part of the tank may be situated less than 80 mm above the reference
surface.
For 4x2, several fuel tanks are permitted and they may extend forward
below the level of the mounting points of the seats to the chassis, but no
less than 1100 mm rearward of the front axle centre line.
The number of suction points is limited to 2 and the pressure of the
suction pumps must not be more than 1 bar.
The number of fuel exits is limited to 2.
Outside this tank, the maximum fuel capacity is 6 litres.

The back of the main rollbar tube at its anchorage foot level must not
be positioned more than 950 mm from the centre of the rear wheel (see
Drawing 285-1).
Padding in the form of 60-240 g/m2 material, with a minimum thickness of
40 mm, must be fitted on the steering wheel over a minimum surface of
20000 mm2 (200 cm2) to protect the driver’s face.
The car must have a structure immediately behind the driver’s seat that
is wider than his shoulders and extends above them when he is seated
normally in the car with his seat belt fastened.
ARTICLE 3 - BODYWORK

A windscreen is optional.
However, should there be one, it must be madeof laminated
