5.6.2) Los sistemas de dirección asistida no pueden ser controlados
electrónicamente.
Ninguno de estos sistemas puede tener otra función que la de
reducir el esfuerzo físico requerido para girar el vehículo.
En caso de que el vehículo de serie esté equipado con un
sistema de dirección asistida controlado electrónicamente:
- Si este tipo de sistema se mantiene, ningún elemento
del sistema puede modificarse, aunque la ECU puede
reprogramarse.
- Se puede utilizar un nuevo sistema de dirección asistida a
condición de que no esté controlado electrónicamente y de
que sea homologado.

5.6.2) Power assisted steering systems may not be electronically
controlled.
No such system may have any function other than that of
reducing the physical effort required to steer the car.
If the production car is fitted with an electronically controlled
power steering system:
- If this type of system is retained, no part of the system may be
modified, but the electronic control unit may be reprogrammed.

5.7

Carrocería - chasis

5.7.1) Aligeramientos y refuerzos:
Se permite reforzar las partes suspendidas del chasis y de la
carrocería, a condición de que el material utilizado siga la forma
original y esté en contacto con ella.
Se autorizan los refuerzos por materiales compuestos según
este artículo, cualquiera que sea su espesor, según el Dibujo
255-8.
Puede retirarse el material de insonorización que se encuentre
bajo el suelo del vehículo, en el compartimento motor, en el
maletero y en los pasos de rueda.
Los soportes no utilizados (por ejemplo: rueda de repuesto)
situados sobre el chasis/carrocería pueden eliminarse, excepto
si son soportes de partes mecánicas que no pueden desplazarse
o retirarse.
Es posible cerrar los orificios en el habitáculo, compartimento
motor, maletero y en las aletas.
Los agujeros pueden cerrarse mediante chapa metálica
o materiales plásticos. Estos pueden soldarse, pegarse o
remacharse.
Los otros orificios de la carrocería únicamente pueden cerrarse
con cinta adhesiva.
5.7.2) Exterior:
5.7.2.1 Parachoques:
Se pueden retirar los escudos.
5.7.2.2 Tapacubos y embellecedores de rueda:
Los tapacubos pueden retirarse. Los tapacubos deben retirarse.
5.7.2.3 Limpiaparabrisas:
El motor, la posición, las escobillas y el mecanismo son libres,
pero al menos, deberá preverse un limpiaparabrisas sobre el
parabrisas.
Se permite desmontar el dispositivo lavafaros.
La capacidad del depósito del lavacristales es libre, y dicho
depósito puede desplazarse dentro del habitáculo según lo
dispuesto en el Artículo 252.7.3 o dentro del maletero o del
compartimento motor.
5.7.2.4 Se autoriza la eliminación de las bandas decorativas exteriores;
serán consideradas como tales todas las piezas que sigan el
contorno exterior de la carrocería y tengan una altura inferior
a 25 mm.
5.7.2.5 Los puntos de levantamiento del gato pueden reforzarse,
cambiarse de lugar, o aumentar su número.
5.7.2.6 Se autoriza a montar protectores de faros, destinados
exclusivamente a cubrir el vidrio de los faros, sin influir en la
aerodinámica del vehículo.
5.7.2.7 Teniendo en cuenta las diferentes leyes de tráfico de cada país,
la situación y el tipo de las placas de matrícula son libres.
5.7.2.8 Los soportes de las placas de matrícula pueden eliminarse, pero
no su sistema de iluminación.
5.7.2.9 Pueden montarse fijaciones suplementarias de seguridad para
el parabrisas y las ventanas laterales, a condición de que no
mejoren las cualidades aerodinámicas del vehículo. Solamente
pueden usarse los parabrisas de serie y los parabrisas
homologados como Variante Opción que pesen más de 9,2 kg.
5.7.2.10 El montaje de protecciones inferiores solo se autoriza en rallyes,
a condición de que sean realmente protecciones que respeten
la altura mínima al suelo, que sean desmontables y que estén
concebidas exclusiva y específicamente con el fin de proteger
los elementos siguientes: motor, radiador, suspensión, caja de

Bodywork - Chassis

5.7.1) Lightening and reinforcements:
Strengthening of the sprung parts of the chassis and bodywork is
allowed provided that the material used follows the original shape
and is in contact with it.
Reinforcements by composite materials are allowed in
accordance with this article, whatever their thickness, according
to the Drawing 255-8.
Insulating material may be removed from under the car floor,
from the engine compartment, the luggage boot, and the wheel
arches.
Unused supports (e.g. spare wheel) situated on the chassis/
bodywork can be removed, unless they are supports for
mechanical parts which cannot be moved or removed.
It is possible to close the holes in the cockpit, the engine and
luggage compartments, and in the wings.
The holes may be closed using sheet metal or plastic materials,
and may be welded, stuck or riveted.
The other holes in the bodywork may be closed, by adhesive
tape only.
5.7.2) Exterior:
5.7.2.1 Bumpers:
Overriders may be removed.
5.7.2.2 Hub-caps and wheel embellishers:
Hub-caps may be removed. Wheels embellishers must be
removed.
5.7.2.3 Windscreen wipers:
Motor, position, blades and mechanism are free but there should
be at least one windscreen wiper provided for the windscreen.
The windscreen washer device may be dismounted.
The capacity of the washer tank is free and the tank may be
moved inside the cockpit in accordance with Article 252.7.3,
inside the boot or the engine compartment.
5.7.2.4 External decorative strips may be removed. Any parts following
external contour of the bodywork and less than 25 mm high will
be considered as decorative strips.
5.7.2.5 Jacking points may be strengthened, moved, and increased in
number.
5.7.2.6 Headlight covers may be fitted provided their sole aim is to
protect the headlight glass and they have no effect on the car’s
aerodynamics.
5.7.2.7 Taking into account the different police regulations in each
country, registration plate locations and type are free.
5.7.2.8 The registration plate mountings may be dismounted but not their
lighting system.
5.7.2.9 Additional safety fastenings for the windscreen and the side
windows may be fitted provided they do not improve the
aerodynamic qualities of the car. Only series windscreens and
windscreens homologated in option variant of which the weight is
greater than 9.2 kg may be used.
5.7.2.10 The fitting of underbody protections is authorised in rallies only,
provided that these really are protections which respect the
ground clearance, which are removable and which are designed
exclusively and specifically in order to protect the following
parts: engine, radiator, suspension, gearbox, tank, transmission,
