people.
• Lay practitioners of
Tibetan Buddhism and
especially practice Tantric
Buddhism.
• Lay women practitioners
are called Ngakmo or
Ngakma.

Tibetan lay people’s Tantric
lineage is called the lineage of
the Ngakpa Tradition.



In Sanskrit known as Yogin
and yogini, or Mantri and
mantrini.



In the west it’s known as white
Sangha tradition, or Tibetan
yogic tradition, also
weathermen.
